Oh noooo, my 110 has a black roof, big tyres on black wheels, loads of chequer plate and a 2" lift, roof rack and snorkel haha no one life stickers though so hopefully I avoid c@nt status, chequer plate is holding the doors together plus I can stand on my bonnet to get my sea fishing tackle off...

For me the defenders had its day, love my 200tdi as it's how a defender should be, no cats, egr's, ecu etc etc, latest engines to meet regulations are rubbish, cheap unreliable units. Personally couldn't care less where it's built as would never buy one but it will still come with a warranty so...

Hope it turns up, always worth a drive around the local haunts where it could be parked up

Battery light will stay on until you give it a little rev, quite normal. Get security fitted if you haven't already, looks very nice

Looks great, he's built it and is using it. Only thing I don't get is those lights, the led type things, they are hideous, remind me of some max power Saxo pile

Looked at that yes but no point protecting when it needs replacing. Also although my chassis is galvanised some used arnt and need welding in the future, wires running through just isn't a good idea in my opinion.

Wanted to replace my 200's wiring loom on chassis change but ran out of money so ran my wiring over the top of the chassis as I will have to replace it, also my galv chassis has sharpe edges on the cable run holes so thought it was a bad idea anyway.

Get some security on it

When the gearbox cross member comes out if it's anything like mine you will see what I mean, no process can get everywhere internally to get rid of or repair rust, I've been around landrovers many years and have seen countless galv chassis rot through as they were not done from new. Just advice...

A new chassis is new, fresh metal, no rot, an old chassis can have rust on the inside too, anywhere so it's a waste of time as it will rot anyway.

Waste of time as a chassis should be galvanised from new, it will rot from the inside out otherwise, far worse obviously.

Just replaced the chassis on mine, every bush, fuel tank, brakes, suspension the lot, exhaust started to rust a week later so you've done well. New defenders are ****e anyway, get your money back and buy a proper one, 200 or 300 tdi

Had the same dilemma with mine but in the end cut it up and the scrap van lot took it away, bulkhead too, a good day for them haha but I needed it gone

I would have a good check over the wiring before fitting your starter motor, dash out takes no time just to check everything's ok if smoke came from there. Using wrong key, screwdriver, hair clip etc to start the landy won't do damage haha that's normal. Like it was said above check the starter...
