So was thinking the defender looked too silver on the front end,(if that makes sense) This morning I swopped the silver headlight surrounds and grill over to a brand new set in black,also changed all screws to stainless including side lights and indicators,have attached some photos of before...

I would of dropped the old fuel before putting fresh in, you checked fuel filter ? Will it run until you switch it off on idle?

Like the rear step ,does it also have a bracket to fix it in the centre of the crossmember ?and do they come unfinished or painted Thanks

Just bought some black chequer plate for bonnet and some smoked side repeaters,jus realised I got no rivets or screws to fit it :(

Interested in seeing some before and after shots regarding the wheel spacers ,am wondering if it would need wider arches ? 30mm spacers and 265/75/16 Tyres .

Depends what set up you want ,if you just want a standard set up with oil filled shocks they should be fine, personally I pay the extra and run on gas filled shocks teamed up with a matching steering damper, that's just my choice though :)

I have had success in the past applying heat from a blow torch ,if that fails it's usually angle grinder time :) space permitting

Plenty of rubbing with various grades of discs an paper, personally I wouldn't use paint stripper would possibly make more work for yourself? Unless you plan on taking it down to bare Ali ?

On a good day around £3.50 a twix and a family sized lucozade... Depends really watching a few sets on eBay the hub centric usually go higher than the normal spacers

Have you removed the petrol cap? Sometimes get a build up of pressure in the tank if the breather on cap is blocked especially in the warmer weather.

Just received new grill and light surrounds in gloss black :)

Various grades including mineral and semi synthetic stuff ,probably also depends on the size of your local store bigger stores usually have a larger range.
