Our recently acquired 300tdi Station Wagon is in very good condition but bounces around on bumps in the road like a kid on a trampoline.

It is a lot worse than my TD5 110, and the TD5 90 we used to own. I am thinking it might be the shocks, l bet they've never been changed.
I have seen Armstrong shocks on Ebay for £38 a pair and wondered if they are any good? From memory they used to be OK.

Depends what set up you want ,if you just want a standard set up with oil filled shocks they should be fine, personally I pay the extra and run on gas filled shocks teamed up with a matching steering damper, that's just my choice though :)

I fitted a set of ProComp from Paddocks. Some people think they are OK some take the **** out of them. They weren't expensive and have served me well. Comfortable on the road and survived a trip across Morocco and they will be going again next spring.
