My 1995 d1 V8s exterior black plastic trim like the front bumper has gone that horrible sun-bleached patchy grey. What do people use to renew this black plastic to make it like new. ??

Thank you. That makes sense as when driving the wheel is not centre when the front wheels are straight. It's slightly off to the right. So it would seem that the tight spot is correct but the steering wheel isn't. Cheers

I don't like the idea of spending £150+ on OEM parts that are paper thin and will rot again in 5 years when I can buy a sheet of checker plate for £40 That will never rot and is thick and strong. And in my opinion looks better.

Ok..... I know the boot floor need to be solid to pass an mot IF you have the fold down seats in the back. So my question is this: If I remove the rear 6th & 7th seats and belts can I checkerplate the boot with one solid piece cut to size, riveted down and sealed????

So if I cut out big holes back to good metal and simply patch over and mig weld a slightly bigger piece over the cut out holes that will be good to pass MOT. I don't mind a bit of patch up and go for now. But just can't afford right now to be buying entire box sections and replacing entire wheel...
