Hello all have a 95 disco 3.9 V9 ES.
noticed a strange resistance in turning wheel right.
Imagine the steering wheel is centre (well the steering wheel is off centre but whatever) as soon as you start to turn the wheel right it has a slight resistance point. Only an inch or so. Once past it steering is fine. Doesn't do this when turning left though. Any ideas.??
PS the disco had been sat still for 5 months dead with the wheels slightly to the right. Could this have something to do with it?

check the ujs in steering linkage if ok check steering box is set central when driving straight ,pas boxes have a center tight spot, which is why they need centralising

Thank you. That makes sense as when driving the wheel is not centre when the front wheels are straight. It's slightly off to the right. So it would seem that the tight spot is correct but the steering wheel isn't. Cheers
