Neilly thanks for the help, we printed that off. If you look at M86 4486 item 6 oil drain pipe instead of pointing to 4 o clock its pointing to 2 o clock. I think its a case of incorrect assembly.

Had to send the old one off as it failed during the warranty period so could not check.

Hi Dragonwalker The old one is off and the replacement is on. Its the oil drain hose seems at the wrong angle forced the small pipe from the engine to the alternator. The metal pipe from the bottom of the alternator is facing upwards and not straight out.

Removing the tank will give you access a lot easier, the bumper will have to come off 4 bolts , disconnect the lights and it's off. Pretty sure that you won't be able to jack it up 12 inches. Replacing the bottom section on my crossmember at the moment.

I'm currently replacing the crossmember which should be finished in the next few days. I have the sills and wheel arches on my list to replace, what would the next item to replace first arches or sills?. I'm thinking for ease of alignment etc.
