My winch is champion and not stopped working in...4 years? Used it in anger. Underwater. Winched non stop for the full length of rope. Not missed a beat. It's generally the solenoids in all winches that don't work...

I'd say you have bad earths somewhere.

What are you heating up. I'm confused. Are you 100% that the nuts are captive.. I think the bits that are siezed will be the nut. Captive or not. Are they on the crossmember side or the outer side of the chassis.. Can you cut them off? Or heat them Up whilst having pressure on the other end...

Island 4x4 do all the bolts... As will any garage supplies ship but island have then on website all labeled up. I did the same on mine. Overhauled the axels entirely and used all Islands kit to do it. No failures yet. No leaks. And not expecting any. Even though I did use "****part". I think...

I'd also like to see the failure. Rip it off. You'll barley feel any differenc. If you really want. Twin shock it. Then pull the front one off. Because that gets in the way of the prop... Then it'll feel like it's falling over. But it won't.

I'll be changing just the bearing in this. Remove the bolt on the pulley. Left hand thread! So opposite to normal Then remove pulley and circlip. Press out old bearing. Press in new one. Refit circlip. Pulley. Job done. Pic of roof console. Still needs switches etc. And...
