New indicator stalks came today

They look and feel well made, they fitted perfect and the plugs were good and tight like the originals.
Plugged them in and everything works like it should, fingers crossed and have kept the receipt but binned the box :D

have kept the receipt but binned the box :D

that'll have jinxed it for sure !

not sure if you're aware of this, but the correct procedure is to put the old stalks in the box the new ones came from, then store them for many many many years, long after the vehicle is gone.

found an indicator stalk last year from an austin metro I owned in the early nineties, along with a pair of ball joints, a steel wheel (damaged), and a tyre (bald)

Oh god ****part electrics  you'll be driving along and it'll go up in a fireball in your face!

I have driven my land rover twice since I've fitted the britpart do e lights and windscreen washer pump. I haven't caught fire..…....... Yet :D

Nice picture of the stalks .. are they meant to be straight?

Mine aren't ... think someone had a party in mine, they're all over the place .. ;)

I have a Mini Mk 2 steering column and steering rack in roof of garage, also have a few not quite worn out track rod ends in case I need them for something, and of course a defender temp gauge that reads wrong and my broken fuel tank sender unit.....why?????:D

I have that very model of indicator switch, and it's working fine so you should be OK.

Yes, the old one is in the new box, in the garage. Along with a starter motor, 2 starter solenoids, a stop solenoid, a broken Disco front bumper, a few bulbs (blown), and a few other bits I've probably forgotten about.
Then there's some parts for the bikes I don't even own anymore.......

think I need a clearout :)

storing bits is a man thing...

the female side of us argues its stupid to store crap and we should chuck it away,
the male side then argues that were saving it to take to the camp weekend to sell/give away/throw at fellow addicts who own landrovers.....

to take home just incase we need that part one day...............;)

I've got an entire 300tdi disco for spares just incase in the garage. The stupid part is every time I rob abit off Of it. I put the old broken bit back onit. Incase it's not as broken as the bit I replaced it with next time it breaks!
