Thanks for the advice. Just had a new radiator, thermostat and housing and had the rocker cover gaskets replaced after a slight oil leak - seems to be fine now. LPG has been serviced - Just got 22mpg on the last tank!

Also should've said that they were able to fit the filler under the fuel flap alongside the petrol filler, so no unsightly filler in the wing or bumper :)

Got back from a short run today and could smell the hot engine in my 4.6 V8. Temp gauge was normal, and coolant level just below the line (as usual). Some pressure in the system but not more than normal. Left it to cool for about half an hour (while reading on here about possible causes)...

When mine died, the t-piece which joins the vacuum pipes had a crack in it - possibly the result of a previous fix as they can get quite brittle with age.

You'll need a set of radio keys - easily obtained from someone like Maple audio (this is where I purchased mine) or flea-bay.

When I was looking for a P38 with an LPG conversion in mind, the LPG spcialist advised that a 4.6 would be better as, in his experience, they were more economical than the 4.0. Having bought and converted a 2000 4.6 Vogue, we're getting 19mpg regularly.

Right - I've now got the amp out of the car. Land Rover have quoted £395 for a replacement! I'm going to order one on Monday so should have it sometime next week. I'll post the results once I've had a cance to collect and fit it.
