    "Please don't break anything"

Just as a matter of interest, how much does insurance cost for a 17 year old provisional licence holder, on a Disco 3?
  2. P

    towing

I'd suggest, make the disco road legal and then you can drive it to-from the event. You can buy a legal A-frame if you want, but not to tow 2tons, the biggest one they do is only up to something like 1.5ton. But because the towed vehicle is still on the road, it would need to be taxed...

    Short/cheap insurance policy for '83 S3 MOD?

Tried Short Term And Temporary Insurance For Cars, Vans And More – Dayinsure It might not be accepted if it were "modified" but you'd need to check details with them, etc. I've used it before and its good. Top tip: the price for 7 days is the same as the price for 1 day.

Strange letter from the DVLA - still no log book

Didn't you spot the extensive modifications on it?

    VOSA rules

You're right, it doesn't alter that fact. However in UK law, its not illegal to modify a car, ie alter or replace components which were once assessed as part of type approval. It makes sense to me, because I understand what they're being asked, and how their reply clarifies this. They're...

    Disco Went For A Swim

It was probably already cut or ripped, there is a small bit just behind the heater.

    VOSA rules

I'll accept its safer/more stable, but is it a type approval requirement for cars to become lower at speed?

    Preserving paintwork after a respray?

A lot of solid colours these days also have clearcoat applied after. This would certainly help with longevity. No need to polish a fresh respray since polishing is to remove embedded imperfections in existing paint. Just use a decent wax and wash it reasonably frequently.

Will this make it fail an MOT???

Driver's side is a fail, passenger side is a pass.

What type certification requirements do variable air suspension achieve, which coil springs can't?

    Disco Went For A Swim

You'll need to make a small cut to the carpet to get it out, unless you want to disassemble the dashboard/heater.

    Disco Went For A Swim

You can write off that soundproofing and put it in the bin, basically. Its probably already wet, mouldy and will disintegrate on removal. Also, beware the wiring loom is cable tied to it in a few places (either side of the centre console, towards the front). So, you might as well cut the...

It will be fine, until they extend the scheme to Manchester.

Its the same. Maybe a little bit bigger.

    Tfl Why

    Smog, basically.

    Parking on pavement fine

Obstructing the road (which is often what parking does) is an offence too. There is an option, there is always an option.

    best pay an play day

    Any pics from the day?

    Towbar electrics and the MOT

You'll have to wait and see if they actually implement the legislation, for a start. Anyone have a link to some kind of official site, for more (definite) info on it?

    Pr1ck

£360 recovery, £30 fine...........surrounded by a million trees............would have been more cost effective to buy a cheap winch.

Margate byway has been blocked (is this legal?)

I just had a quick look on 3 maps too - each one says the same thing, its a footpath. So I don't think its a case of the OS map being out-of-date, as I see it its correct, and doesn't contradict with Trailwise. How come you thought it was a byway?
