Hi Freelance, The Mounts are not that ajustable from the looks of them! Once i got all the sub frame bolts through, there was very little play on the bolts attaching the mounts to the diff - just an obsevation - I've heard form mates that work for LR that they should be lazer aligned -...

This may help someone who has knocking/banging when they put their foot down (typical rear diff perishing fault). So today I have replaced my rear diff mounts, and have to admit it is relatively easy for a non-mechanical people - like me! So put the Freelander on ramps (on level ground)...

A new pump (not genuine LR) is £85 with Island 4x4. £125 mosyt other places - genuine part is £170+vat from LR. Takes approx 1/2 to change and will probably solve the prob. Trouble is ****e diesel, not running Diesel redex, corroded tanks and other things could be all adding to the problem...
