What a memory, Worse one yet travelling head up in a CVR(W) Fox through the Tyne Tunnel, boy does that make your eyes water or what.

what backbox did you fit?

I'm having to do mine, when I turn the key to start nothing happens, I release the key and turn it again. It sometimes starts straight away and sometimes takes 4-10 goes to get it started. Will the whole motor need replacing or just a repair kit fitted.

I've got mine too, passed some out already.

is this the box in post 1, as I'm thinking of fitting one, as they are just down the road from me.

A mate of mine and myself have replaced our mounts ( 2 vehs) with these. Flo-Flex Polyurethane Limited you have to get the old bushes pressed out and the new ones pressed in, or you can buy the complete kits, expensive but very good and last forever.

Whilst on the subject of TD4 exhausts, back box due for renewal, anybody got any ideas re a smaller option. I do a bit of laning and was looking into putting a smaller back box on for better ground clarance.

I'm doing mine on my 2001 TD4, I'm fitting the GKN ones, sourced from a local dealer. i'm doing most of the work myself, except for the removal of the bearings from/to the VCU as you need a press for this, son's mate's dad has a press and is doing this gratus for me.

So apart from a "Cherry Bomb" exhaust, does anybody have a part number for a smaller after market back box.

I have a similar problem to this, my Rear Near Side door lock will not disengage with the fob, key or internal button, but will lock with the 3 items, very strange.
