Own 51 reg Freelander. Will soon need centre section exhaust. Cat is part of centre section. Arm and a leg costs for replacement - or sell my soul to the devil! What options do I have. Will earlier pipes (pre TD4)with Cat fit? Can you buy Cat and centre pipe seperate?

Forget the cat bit - it's not needed.
Get an exhaust fitting place to make up a centre pipe without a cat.

Whilst on the subject of TD4 exhausts, back box due for renewal, anybody got any ideas re a smaller option. I do a bit of laning and was looking into putting a smaller back box on for better ground clarance.

Replaced my twin pipe back box with single pipe one, Definitely smaller and better clearance - £50 new from E-Bay (LR188 is the right type for TD4)

do not get of the exhust man they do not last long and the 2 tail pipe jobs are no longer availble
