Hi all I know this sounds like a knob question and even though I have a Haynes manual and rave I still want to make sure that I get this right. The question is how many engine mounts are there on a 1.8 2003 Freelander, are they easy to replace and are they expensive. Many thanks George:confused:

Yep I agree however if you do a coolant change every 2 years including a system flush then using a rad weld type product should not be a problem ( I hope).

I had the same problem 2 years ago and its very likely the heater matrix on the way out. I fixed it with rad weld and not lost a drop of coolant since. Never heard that it's a sign of HG on its way out though.

Hi All I Have recently noticed that the cooling fans on my 53 plate 1.8 freelander have stopped working. I've checked the fuse in the engine bay which was fine. Pluged in my hawkeye and it came up with the following P0480 open circuit fan 1 control circuit as Im not that clued up with auto...

Washed the bird crap off then spent the next 2 hours polishing paint work went in for a cuppa only to come out 10 mins later to find that all my hard work was a waste of time as the bird crap has returned. So next purchase in the car cleaning department will be a air rifle. :violent:

Hi Colin. What I did in the end was to ditch the new brake light switch and link lead and replace with the old style one so far so good. George
