Hi All
I Have recently noticed that the cooling fans on my 53 plate 1.8 freelander have stopped working. I've checked the fuse in the engine bay which was fine. Pluged in my hawkeye and it came up with the following P0480 open circuit fan 1 control circuit as Im not that clued up with auto electrics I'm hoping that learned folks on this forum can help.
Many thanks in advanced
George.

The open circuit would indicate a broken wire or bad connector somewhere on the fan wiring. Or the fan motor has failed, that should be pretty easy to test.

Multimeter complete with instructions:D
:behindsofa:

As the Man says...get a Multimeter and learn how to use it (Not difficult).
It's an essential piece of kit, the same as a set of spanners are for carrying out repairs on your motor.
Remember--Not all problems are mechanical !!!
