The straps are only there to limit downward axle travel so if you only drive on road it wont make any difference. If you do any laning or offroading take them off to get better articulation,mine got cut off the moment i got the landy ;)

If you want to feel the full benefit of parabolics fit gas shocks,either standard length or +2" they cope better with the more active springs. I have pro comp +2" on mine and they work well.

Ive got the insa special track on the series and there still going strong after 4 years,also got the insa traction tracks on the disco and thats been to the south of france fully loaded doing 70mph with no probs :)

I used an old plastic pop bottle,cut it down and slotted it over the dizzy then sealed any gaps with electrical tape,and did the same for the coil. It still keeps running on all cylinders with the water level over the bonnet.....and it's a V8!

My series V8 just has a huge stainless silencer at the back off an impretza and man is it loud! Gets through the test every year though ;) If you went for the straight through it would be way too loud,trust me I've tried it and it made my ears bleed at 70 mph!! :D

I have the warrior 9500lb on the series and its a cracking winch,its pulled big trees out of a river,a shogun out of a 6 foot snowdrift and the last pay n play I was at I spent most of the day winching stuck disco's out :) it's still working fine after a year and its had its fair share of mud...

If you want to fit disco axles but don't want to fit defender arches use swb rims as they dont have much offset,they fit nice and snug to the body so you don't need to alter the arches ;)

Just look at it like this......back in the day an MG midget was a fast car compared to a series,so that's like comparing an impretza to a 90 these days. The good thing about owning and driving a series is that you learn (or remember)how to drive and not just turn the key go ;)

Yeah you did well,had a good day spectating too and cant wait to have a go myself in the series :) Theres not normally that many go over but still it was good to watch and everone was ok and carried on to compete the rest of the day :D
