only recently my freelander td4 has struggled to start, can be cranking for a while before it starts up. other times it can start up straight away. Thinking of changing the glow plugs and relay just curious on other things it could be. (don't want to be changing glow plugs for no reason) car...

Had it plugged in and was suggested to change the brake light switch. Land Rover said I need the modified one now, is this true? I thought it was the early freelanders which needed those.

It's a 53 plate. Don't think it's ever been changed, I know it won't affect towing I just don't like having lights up on the dash. You have to press quite far on the pedal for the lights to come on so hopefully it is just the switch, I'll get it plugged in today see what the code is

Thought I'd update you. Did the thermostat myself at home took about 4 hours! It's totally do able at home but if you rarely play around with cars I wouldn't recommend it. Hardest part is the metal pipe getting it out the way to remove the stat and fitting the stat. But start to finish 4 hours...
