    Disco Rocksliders

Is it worth getting a set of rock sliders and tree bars that DONT bolt onto the chassis outriggers? I've seen a nice pair for a decent price but there's no point me buying them if they will be useless. I'm mainly hoping to be able to reinforce my sills, protect my lower doors a little, cover...

    Clattering pad

Cheers chaps, I'll take them out and have a look at what's occuring. I'm sure I can rustle something up. I hope it's just the springs on the pins are slack.

    Clattering pad

I've greased the pads up and the pins - are there supposed to be the metal plates on top of the pads like on the rear? Neither side on the front had them on - just the pins with the split pins in the end.... Just checked paddocks and the front is only the springs and the pins, not plate...

    Clattering pad

I keep hearing a clattering noise from the front. I thought it was a wheel bearing but I've found out one of the pads it shaking and clattering around in the calliper. It's really loose! I only fitted them a few weeks ago. The brakes work fine. It all went together properly and I'm convinced...

    Boost?

That's where I'm taking it from, the pipe from the turbo to the lift pump diapraghm. I guessed that that was the most pragmatic approach! Surely if the boost is running higher, it will compensate by adding more fuel (to a degree?)

    Boost?

So 0.7 is right....bugger, I was hoping I'd found the reason why mine feels so sluggish these days! Thanks lads, back to the drawing board I recks.......

    Boost?

I did read some where else the reading won't be exactly 1 bar unless you tap into the manifold itself. I've used the pipe that feeds the fuel pump so thought this would give me the best indication. I ran it up to full throttle under load and it still barely gets past 0.75. I will try cleaning...

    Boost?

I thought I might have a problem with my turbo not working quite properly so I fitted a boost guage last week. It only ever seems to get 0.75 bar of boost at 4k RPM - I thought this should be more like 1 bar. You can see the boost drop a little when it reaches "full" and the waste gate...

    Sill suggestions - any ideas?

We had most of the interior out when I got the floor patched a couple years ago so it shouldn't be too bad....well at least I hope not. It's worth considering that as a solution. MOT's not till October and he didn't see the massive hole last year (thanks to the silly sill covers - hid it...

    Sill suggestions - any ideas?

Is that not quite an involved procedure? I was a bit hesitant to go down that road unless the sills were completely fubar'd!

    Sill suggestions - any ideas?

I've got some welding to do on the sills on my disco. I also want to permanently remove the plastic cover as we all know they are notorious at collecting dirt and moisture. Now I wondered if anyone has any ideas on how to "improve" my sills resillency. I thought about patching the corroded...

    Tyre imports..

Why not buy some out there and ship them back to yourself? You can get around the import charges by sending them back as warranty replacements - this way you can still insure the consignment to the true value but you won't have to pay any tax. Or bring them back on the plane! You might find the...

Noobies (and others) Run - South of Basingstoke

Ah, that's a shame, not about on the 25th May. Cheers though, I'll catch you guys next time! Haven't been out for ages...been toying with taking the big wheels off for summer so needed an excuse not to! haha

    300 Turbo on a 200

Cheers, I'll look out for a proper 200 one then.

    300 Turbo on a 200

Will a 300 turbo fit a 200? I didn't know if there were any major differences. I think mines on it's way out (oil in intake pipes and vehicle is gutless) but I saw one on Ebay for a decent price.....

    Rust hole in pass footwell

I went to look at Range Rover classic that had the chassis fibre glassed - very effective lookng it was, someone had taken the time to make it look proper. After we poked some holes in it, we found a large selection of porn pages had been used the stuff the void. Maybe as a bribe for the MOT man...

    Intermitent cut out

Fuel filter is a possibility and it's cheap and easy to do.

    Rust hole in pass footwell

Well I would personally bodge it for the MOT and plan to repair it properly at some point.....some fibre glass and a few coats of underseal are normally enough to hide that type of corrosion!

    Alarm Flasher Fuse?

Not sure about how to fix it but if you want to test your alrar,, open a window, lock the car. Wait 30 seconds for the sensors to arm then stick your arm in and wave it around. If nothing happens, your motion sensors might not be working so pull the door lock and open the door. This should set...
