Does anyone know if the chrome swivel ball steering joints for a 90/110 will fit a mk 1 disco? My common says yes, cos they're practically the same as the other underneath, but I don't want to fork out for them and find they don't. Ta muchly for any infos!

My disco does, and high top shogun used to fit in the multi stories in tunbridge wells, so i think you'd be fairly safe.

Have stopped a fellow land rover owner cos their rear wheel was about to fall of. Followed for almost a mile flashing and beeping. When he finally did pull over, he acted as though I just escaped from a loonie bin! Why do people respond like this? You're going out of your way to help THEM! Odd sods.

If they're similar to mine on my 300 disco, they are sealed with semi setting sealant. Got a knife and VERY carefully cut the whole way round and teased apart. Long job, but worth it cos once apart, you can clean it up like new, and re seal it with some gutter bitumen seal. Really neat finish.

just done mine, and your quite right maximum of 5 times use. but personally, buy new for piece of mind, their only a few quid.

I think the general rule of thumb with ****part is "if it doesn't have moving parts, its fine. If it has moving parts in it, keep clear!"

How hard is it to stop this once it has started, and how often does this sort of thing occur?

Yeah tried it one, it pants. Get a schutz gun and some tins, then when one tin is empty, warm up the waxoil, and chuck it in. Much easier with a compressor on your side.

Yes they work great. Don't use a cheap own brand one, get a good one like Hozelock, and take the spray head off. The cheap ones have very poor pressure valves on them that break if used with anything thicker than water, and the better quality ones have a wider delivery tube, so thicker oil can...

Yeah thats what I got told the other day. Had a look at some on the way to work yesterday, and they are way skinnier than disco.

But as I was told the other day, they will look silly. Far too skinny for such a wide body. It'd look like your driving on jam jar lids!
