So you reckon £200 - £300 all in?!? Well that's my steering guard, bike rack, and KBX grille gone then ;)

Any idea what this would cost to be done by a garage. Also, could any garage do it or would it need to be a LR specialist? I'll be honest, it sounds like a step too far for me at the moment! Let alone the tool expense.

Thanks for the info SH. The chassis looks to have been protected by the guys that did it thankfully. As for the timing belt, is this a big job? I had enough trouble replacing the fan belt tensioner bearing!

Thanks - the colour is Arizona Blue. Not sure if you can see on the photos, but I have resprayed the window mounts using aerosols that I got from Autopaint St Helens (they were the only bits I could get off and the weather is awful at the mo). Looking at touching up all the bad bits over time...

At the moment there is a disklock - I'm planning on adding some more security as time goes on!

So - just an update. Purchased paint in spray can form from Auto Paint St Helens (Along with Etch Primer and Clear Coat). Just gave one of my window brackets a rub down and spray, and I am relatively happy with the result. I should probably give the clear coat a rub down with 1600 paper...

I'll be honest, I won't be going of-road that much. Just going to be using it mainly for going out mountain biking, and as a driving billboard for my business. And when I say side steps, I mean the rail type , not the flip down type.

Having showed Auto Paint St Helen's some photos, they seem to think that it is Arizona Blue. Gonna order a can of spray paint from them and see! Hopefully it will match.

Need a quick answer on this on as I'm about to place an order! What primer will I need for doing small bodywork touch up repairs to my defender? Etch or acrylic?
