I had a quick look at the microswitch on mine and wondered how to get that out...its pretty much sandwiched inside the metal actuator casing ...I didn't fathom it ...but there may be a way.

Being an 05 yours will have the upgraded cooling system (PRT thermostat) and I think they upgraded to MLS head gaskets too. Mines a 1.8 k but a lot older than yours ...Ive done some mods to make it like yours and have had no probs in two and a bit years of my ownership....keep a very regular...

I know what you mean ...I had 2 tyres slashed last November, cost me £218 for two new Scorpions and I only got £70 back from the courts ...still furious :mad:

Feel for you mate ...what comes around goes around, hopefully the culprit will get the same treatment one day.

Have a think about how you will do this...we dont want you to get hurt - the glass might drop quickly if you attempt to move the wires with the glass resting on them. Yes ....one life live it....electrically mechanically etc :) :)

Watch what your doing though don't trap yer fingers! Raise the glass safely out of the way before you attempt this.

looks to me like the wires to the wiper motor are stopping the glass - the wires should be flat to the door hence the long deflector clip fittings - the glass travels down in front of them...see if that bit of loom will pin back ;)

Its a Doozy!! Wonder if anyone has shunted your spare wheel and dented the tailgate door in a bit ..its happened before. As Tincan and Epicuser say... the glass not dropping fully into the door is your starter for one.

Also see if the tailgate glass is centered ok ...if its too far left or right it may be jamming on the side when it goes down.

Hi Try checking the battery terminals are nice and tight Is the rear wiper in the park position - on the rubber strip and off the glass
