I would not be a pro for this type of thing but I think you might be right about the turbo having gone pop. The black smoke might be oil burning off. Can you look at the turbo to see if there is or has been oil deposited inside. Once again I am very, very new to the site and to Land Rovers so...

Hay presto, they are fixed. Thanks for telling me about the sound sensor. I sprayed the box with some switch cleaner, popped in a new reversing sensor and they now work. Again thank you very much UP DATE ........... They stopped working last night, bought a new sounder £16 inc VAT...

Hi thanks for the quick reply. Sorry no photo but it is on the side of the upper post. When you open the drivers door and look at the side of the seat it can be seen. It goes from the seat base towards the head rest. Its about 2 - 3 inches long.
