Hi folks,

I am picking up my new purchase on Tuesday. It is a 2004 LANDROVER DISCOVERY LANDMARK TD5.

The car is in fairly good condition except for the drivers seat. There is a rip on the side of the drivers seat which is cream leather.

For what I am paying for the car and 2 new tyres I did not want to push my luck with the seller.

I live in County Down Northern Ireland and need a leather trimmer or someone who could repair the damage.

I do hope it wont cost a fortune. Any help would be great .

Thanks

Have you got a pic of the damage. might help peeps figure out if it's worth repairing or cheaper to get a replacement seat. I know you're in NI. but it might be worth posting the seat base to the mainland and getting it repaired over here. If you can't get it done over there.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. Sorry no photo but it is on the side of the upper post. When you open the drivers door and look at the side of the seat it can be seen. It goes from the seat base towards the head rest. Its about 2 - 3 inches long.

Great job.

Any idea of a rough cost in your experience ? I have no doubt it will be a fortune. Its the lower panel on the seat post.

Thanks

Usual rate tends to be around £30 an hr. so the less stripping of the seat etc he has to do the cheaper it'll be.

That's great. I will get the car on Tuesday and I have checked the link you posted and there is one just a few miles away so I will give him a call.

Thanks
