Still there Stu. Mine got under with a few inches to spare, Wayne also got under it but was very close due to his lift and 33" tyres.

    Ashcrofts

I have their HD 1/2 shafts, drive flanges and locker. No complaints here, though they were sourced through Crown Diffs rather than direct from Ashcrofts so haven't had any direct dealings with them.

What area are you looking at doing Daz? Not sure if I'll be able to attend due to work (haven't got my rota to hand) but if you need any help planning etc, give me a shout either here or FB.

    Greenlaning help and advice?

If you want to know how to find them then have a read of this thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f13/finding-gree-lanes-what-i-do-80111.html. If you want a rough idea of what a lane is like before driving it, then join GLASS, LARA, etc and get full access to Trailwise. You can use Trailwise...

    Greenlaning help and advice?

There's a lot more info available on Trailwise to members than there is to non members. Members can view user comments on lanes (eg, easy, technical, scratchy etc) which will give you an idea as to what a lane is like.

The Badman in North Wales Getting Tricky

Nice video Lee, I must admit this is one of my favourite lanes. When we 1st did this about 3 months or so ago, we met another group coming up. The Shogun had to winch in the same spot as the Defender and that was on 2 wheels also and looked like it was going to over.

    Phone Windscreen Mounts?

I've got a cheapo one from halfords for using the Ipod to film laning trips, & another cheapo one from the local car shop for mounting the phone on for navigating. Make sure the inside of your windscreen is clean, the only time I had a problem with one of them falling off, it was fixed by giving...

    HiDeeHi & Sarah90 Birthday Wales Trip 21st & 22nd June 2014

Td5 Defenders are a nice drive. On some of our longer trips I've spent 12 hours behind the wheel and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not going to be as plush as your Disco & it's going to be a bit noisier, but not intrusively so. While they're never going to be a sports car, they're pretty nippy and...

Preparing my 110 for green laning???

There's a couple of Shropshire laning threads in the Green Lane section here to keep your eyes on if you don't mind a bit of travelling (roughly about 1 hr 1/2 from Cov to start point). We're out next week in Wales (furthest afield is coming from Mansfield) but probably not a run to cut your...

Preparing my 110 for green laning???

There's lots of kit available but a decent set of tyres and front & rear recovery points is all you really need to start off with, (along with a mate with a similar sized 4x4 & some recovery gear). Diff guards are cheap (about £25 a pair at Craddocks) and worth getting, never had either a...
