Well, i got the missus to pour the water while i checked inside, she obviously missed the scuttle because thats where the leak was. Thats women for ya..

Thanks mate, yeh, my front inner arches are rotted around the plastic arch liner fixing points, not too bad though, ive just ground the rot off, hammerited it all and fixed the liner with self tappers and washers, only because ive got no welding wire, no sheet metal and no money!

Found the leak, was near the scuttle drain hole, where water had been sitting, cleaned the area, and the passenger floor, ground all the rot off, (wasnt too bad) and hammerited it, hammerited the scuttle area, filled the hole with silicone, fibreglassed over it then painted it with hammerite...

Will whip the wing off tomorrow, delve a bit deeper. Havent needed to pull a car apart for at least two years, i have missed the fun. ;)

Ripped all the back out today, only had the car a short while, not got it on road yet. Was removing the dickie seats and belts... Also have a puddle in the passenger footwell, ripped the carpet and sound proofing out (literally), big rusty puddle, im unsure what it is as the header was empty...

My local kwikfit are ok tbh, i would never ever trust them to do any work on my motor, but the old mot tester fella is fair, plus they do mot's for £25, sitting in the waiting office while the test is being done is an eye opener though, listening to them taking phonecalls, "Yes Madam, its £375...

best bet is to book online with someone like kwik fit, thats what i did, print out the appointment and take it with you in case you get a pull. MOT25 promo code gets you a mot for £25 aswell. Just thinking back, someone was selling a voucher on ebay for a £15 mot offer, i was searching for kwik...

No, you can drive it to and from an mot station if it doesnt have any tax, as long as its booked in for its mot, makes sense as you cant tax it without a valid mot.

You can, to and from the test station, My old D2 V8 failed on the cats, got pulled over by a lovely female officer, she nagged me not to be driving it round or taking any scenic routes, just drive it straight home. Bitch.
