have you tried fitting a boost gauge to keep an eye on boost levels?

deflector shield is the way to go (maybe with a matt coloured bonnet)

pull the wiring plug out and check how many wires go into the light cluster 4 means you need to re wire 6 means just fit some lights and a relay :P

burnt out a terminal maybe? get a tester out on the wiring and work back from the lights? or from the fuse box out

if a fuse had blown twice why didn't you check then, you may have done more damage by waiting
