    D2 problems

My TD5 has been very reliable sooo much better than the 3oo tdi,and considering I run biodiesel, maybe just lucky. It really is turn key and drive machine(probably regret posting that now )

Full to brim should not be issue, was it your regular filling station

Disco 2 loss of power on motorway help needed parked up

If more than a couple of months ago,it would not hurt to put a new one on,in case you have bought some **** fuel. Presumably you can hear your fuel pump running when you switch ignition on. Your original post sounds like fuel starvation to me despite the black smoke.

    300tdi Radiator and head

If that falls through I have a 300tdi head I got as a spare from ebay-meant to be tested etc,but never fitted as have a D2 now-comes with all injectors valves etc £90.00

    Fuelling Problem!

I only know the 300tdi set up,but am sure the 200 tdi is similar,no air in fuel system is basic rule for all diesels, period. Try running from a bottle of derv under bonnet,as I suggested to give you confidence

Looked at a cheap Disco 2 and walked away. But should I reconsider?

If you are ever down on South coast, give me a shout ,you can have a go

    Fuelling Problem!

Get yourself air free fuel and your problem will vanish

    Fuelling Problem!

The lift pump sucks fuel from the tank to feed it to the injection pump, that then feeds the injectors, what the injectors do not use is returned to the tank ,via leak off's on injectors. The whole system needs to be free of air leaks, both air getting in and fuel getting out. System will purge...

My TD5 is auto and has upgraded torque converter and is chipped. It goes like stink-blip the throttle and you are off-never floored it as not needed. All gears change between 1.5 k and 2.1k revs. Can join traffic from a stand still doing 30 mph without the guy I pull out on having to brake.Very...

    Fuelling Problem!

If there is no fuel in the sedimenter, you have a massive air leak somewhere,as it should be full of fuel.In future only un do sedimenter from bolt on top-bottom fitting snaps easily.Look at tank fittings under boot floor hatch-prone to corrosion

    Exhaust hose

We put 4" o/d Aluminium extractor concertina pipe stuff on our diesel (very smoky) fork lift, and ran the pipe many metres into the carpark.whilst fork lift worked inside-100% sucess until the Ally hose caught fire!-plastic coated I think

    steering into a hedge

Mine did that until I changed tyre type, hardly notice it at all now,and yup 18" wheels
  14. B

Does this sound like a fuel lift pump issue ?

Injection pumps are normally very tough unless it is leaking of couse

    Horn Stuck On

Thought this was a Viagra thread-carry on

    TD5 Glow Plugs

I always find it helps to remove them with engine warm/hot-the aluminium head expands more than the st /steel glow plugs

Do we need to freeze in winter?

When the leather seats are cold on a frosty morning, heated seats are a real luxury :)
  18. B

Do we need to freeze in winter?

My TD5 diesel puts out warm air after a mile and hotter air the longer you drive it-the heated seats can be a bit too hot and I turn them off except on really cold mornings.

    TD5 Oil Change question

Not if you run biodiesel, the oil stays translucent for thousands of miles
