The wife just phoned to say the horn came on for no apparent reason this morning, and wouldn't go off again. She parked up and switched the engine off, and it still was going off. She drove again and eventually it went off. But it Isn't working at all now. I haven't seen it yet, but she now thinks the button on the wheel could have been stuck in. I'm hoping its the fuse thats blown. Could be a relay. Thought I would ask if there is a common problem with this that someone might shed some light on before I go digging for issues?

Done some pricing for potencial replacement parts.

Relay = £18.64
Rotary Switch = £132.10
Horn Switch/Button Assembly = £69.33

All plus vat and are dealer prices.

the same happened to my d2 at 6am!!,I sprayed around the horn buttons with wd40,the left hand button was very stiff,maybe through lack of use,no problems since,shockingly expensive!!try some wd before spending perhaps.

Good a place as any to start. Thanks mate.

It is possible to get the buttons stuck on, wobbling them gets them to pop out

First thing I am checking when I get home tonight. Not working at all now, so hoping this is whats happened and blown the fuse. Easy & Cheap....I hope.

Seems to be sorted. Fuse was blown. I can only assume that the button was stuck in. Will keep an eye, or maybe an ear on it. thanks all.

Perhaps the next time it happens, your wife will notice the guy standing at the rear passenger window.

Stood for over 5 minutes and never did get my 99
