I use a garden pressurised sprayer. Takes a while but it's clean and simple.

I've finally got around to fitting a TD5 speedo into my Ninety and it's working a treat except I don't know how fast (should that be slow) I'm going at night :( I've wired pin 4 of the top plug into the lights, which I believe is correct, but I have no backlighting when the lights are turned...

Don't scrap em. That'll be yet another spare part gone. Sell it on ebay to someone that can make use of it.

I paid £190 for supply and fit on my defender 200tdi. I was quoted £300 by the big landy independent so I went shopping around. Just check what they intend to fit first. No point in saving money if they are crap and fit rubbish parts.

+1 on that. I had a whirring noise I ignored for a while until it got loud. Not a drop of oil in the transfer box and ended up having to replace it. Best check ASAP :)

Rear wiper isn't part of the MOT. Mine hasn't worked for years.

Are they still doing the DC100 thing? I thought they'd canned that idea a few years ago.

I'm in Norfolk. Which bit are you in? Clubs, there's the Breckland LRC but I don't know much about them. I steer clear of clubs that have chairmans reports etc! There is a Norfolk 4x4 club on Facebook that seem pretty active. They go greenlaning and use a pay and play place regularly. Not met...

Fitted a new bonnet release cable, jet washed it, then went landing and got it muddy. Really must get the order of these things right :)

Yeah, just read it. It mentions the function but that's it. Nothing on what it does, how to use it, etc. Just an entry in the menu list :)

I have. The 8 blade fuse holders, I used these ones 8-Way Blade Fusebox, almost fit the hole left when you remove the old glass holders. I removed the old ones, didn't disconnect from cables, trimmed the hole to fit the new holders and a bit of bending at the bottom to slot them in...

I've got one of those. I'd better read the manual as I had no idea it did that :) Since fitting it I've heard absolutely nobody on it. Very different from the early 80's Only got it for green laning but I've not been out with anyone that has one since! I assume it's OK to just talk...

Took it to Richard Hall in Thetford for a new timing belt and radiator. Came away with a new bonnet stay fitted and no squeak in the steering. (He also did the timing belt and radiator) So, for sale one, slightly used and very rare, solid oak bonnet stay for a defender :)

Got it muddy :)
