Anyone help. I recently got a good 109. As I haven't driven it at night I hadn't realised the dipped lights weren't comming on. I found out during my prep for it's mot. Fuse had blow. I replaced the fuse, now the lights wont turn off. Wiring seems ok as per manual diagram. Any ideas...

Oops,.. Pressure readings. Manifold, Air, Ambiant etc.... i've just changed the turbo and want to see what it should be.

Can someone tell me what the Hawkeye readings should be for a healthy Disco td5 ? Cheers, Dons x

Readings at 3,000 revs. Air Flow 400 kg/hr Manifold Presure Raw 143 Manifold Presure 142 Ambiant Presure 99

Has not been remapped. Goes reasonable, but not as good as before new gasket. Air flow and pressures were within normal range acording to another thread., I'll have to look for me bit of paper again.. hold on. Was using fuel a bit under load, but seems ok at the moment.

Tiny amount at idle. But when you boot it, or put it under load eg, pulling unladen trailer it blows the black stuff.

I've just renewed the MAF sensor, Wastegae Modulator, Intercooler, All Turbo hoses to silicone, Fuel Regulator, EGR Blanked, ECU cleaned, Head Gasket. No fault codes apart from EGR blanked. Now at my wits end.

Ok guys. Doscover 2 1999 TD5 144,000 miles. I have just changed my cylinder head gasket. All seems good. No pressue in coolant etc. No blowback from oil dipstick, or contamination of oil. Found Intrercooler was blown, so also renwed that,.. and MAf sensor, Turbo Hoses, Coolant temp...

What would cause an intercooler to blow ? Car is a 1999 Diisco 2. 144,000 miles. Original intercooler from 1999 fitted. ( though not now lol )

I usually clean out the holes with a modified air hose. Have re examned averything and have noticed the head bolts ( new ones ) were 3 mm longer than the ones we took out and the Gasket was the wrong one ! It was a 2 hole and not the thicker 3 hole. So basically was trying to screw down into...

GOT IT I GOT THE LITTLE BUGGER !!!!!!!!!! Could see the bolt about 1 1/2 " down and used long nosed mole grips. Came out easy. Now for a beer ! :D:D:D Thanks for all the advice guys. Dons x

Brand NEW bolts. I always use new ones when doing head gaskets.

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Could this be part of the problem.... 2 mm difference in length of bolt and amount of thread !? Top bolt is the one we took outof engine at the start. Bottom one is one of the new ones put in.

Soooooooooooo frustrating. I've done 300 and 200 tdi's no probs. But to pop on the last bolts. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
