RR p38 2.5 BMW DHSE 2001 Auto Hi all. May be starting with a problem , after having a oil and filter change in the auto gearbox ( Dexron 2 ATF ) i have now noticed a sort of scratching sound ( not very loud ) when pulling off in drive or reverse when revs are just picking up then it goes...

Just trying to upgrade my knowledge of the p38 " The 2nd stage Alarmed lockout, nothing will get past it. " so what would need to be done in that case , there is nothing wrong with mine just very interested .

Nothing wrong with p38 I have had 3 and all been good.

My 2001 P38 2.5 BMW Auto has done 126,000 . Starts OK Runs great.

Hi mozz, a few years back when i had a p38 DT i had problems with the fault code " engine disabled " as well as a lock out and was told that if the immobiliser was disabled then i would be able to get going once i had put the eka code in . Not sure if this would have worked or be the right thing...

Can you remove / disable the immobilizer with nanocom or do you have to send it to rick the pick i think is his name and also dose this stop the lockouts and engine disable . Sorry if this is a dumb question but i don't know , ha ha
