I just replaced the 'dongle' on my Incartech steering week adaptor cable. Now all the controls do what they should do!

Thanks for the suggestion. I contacted them today and they're sending out a new "dongle" which tells the device which buttons control what! All I have to do is solder it in place of the other one and it should work fine.

Drove from Seaford to Failsworth in just under 4 hours early this morning. Car did approx 29mpg at a steady 90mph. I should have gone slower but I was eager to get there!! Will try to stick to a steady 70mph in the way home!!

Incartech cable arrived. Plugged it in and all worked...kinda! The volume up/down buttons both turn the volume down. The fwd/rev buttons both turn the volume up & a short press on the mode button skips back while a long press on the mode button skips forward. But it's better than the switches...

The most I have to put up with is a bit of a sea breeze & the odd light shower! Thinking about it I hardly put any miles on my car, and my motorbike does less than 2k each year!

My rear diff oil stank when I removed the drain plug & had a consistency like putty than oil! It was at that point I decided to remove the cover & clean it all out instead of just siphoning out the oil & replacing it. IRD oil is still to be done!

I thought it was the process in which it separates the air & oil, returning the oil back into the engine whilst allowing the crank case to breathe?

New seals confused me (by that's not hard!) One didn't look like it fitted so I assumed it have a choice of two, then I realised it had just been squashed in the box! Popped it in warm water & it returned to shape.

I had heard the same thing but I didn't have to. Perhaps there are two different designs?

Finally ordered the correct ISO steering wheel control cable. Am going to Manchester on Saturday morning so will need lots of tunes for the 5 hour journey!

Buy a decent brush, you don't want it losing bristles!!

I've got a 2001 Td4 with the RonBox Synergy 2a. Mpg is up to around 49mpg but I do around 5 miles a week in stop start traffic all the rest is country roads. I do admit I have a heavy foot but I've been trying to treat it delicately to avoid wheel spin as it's temporarily in 2wd until I replace...

I think rally cars use poly bushes too & they wouldn't want stresses put through to vital components that would be expensive to fix.

I fitted my new tinted indicators. I was told Land Rover only put them on their special edition versions & I've done so much to my Freelander its a very special edition!!!

I think it needs to be over the ridge to clamp correctly.

Where did you get your kit from? Does it come with the CSC?
