What have you done to your Freelander today

I always have my best ideas at the weekend when no one can post items! Ordered these today, for my upcoming light bar. Ordered this to connect the light when on the roof, makes it possible to remove them if need be. Found someone selling these, the correct connector for the Land Rover switch...

Any tips for fitting front headlamp guards?

Think I'll use a long security bolt & bit y own rubber spacers. I don't fancy walking back to the car & finding someone liked the guards so much they unscrewed them & left!!!!

What have you done to your Freelander today

The car already had 1 button & 3 blanks fitted as I have 2x Land Rover spotlights fitted on the metal nudge bar. I just bought a 2nd button to replace one of the blanks so I can switch on the roof lights independently of the front spot lights...once I get some roof lights!

What have you done to your Freelander today

My light button arrived. Just have to find some spotlights. Hoping somebody will put some Land Rover ones on eBay so I can get some to match the nudge bar lights!

Damn! I didn't think of asking you for chequer plate! Will definitely check with to first next time. If I manage to handle this ok then my next project is replacing the boot carpet with chequer plate & adding a hinged shelf to bring the floor up to the same height as the rear seats when folded...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Does that mean you'll have some light bars ready for sale soon??! My chequer plate arrived so I can replace the useless bit of plastic on the under tray. Hopefully 3mm chequer plate will protect the important bits

What have you done to your Freelander today

Definitely need to. Kept catching me out though because until recently I've been dragging around a worn VCU which was sapping power from the car. Will turn it up once I've got used to not having to bury the throttle!

What have you done to your Freelander today

I turned down the settings on my Synergy tuning box. The traction control only works up to 50kph but the torque & power increase from the tuning box means my 2wd Td4 is spinning its wheels way above that speed and the traction control won't help control it. Will turn the settings back up once...

Any tips for fitting front headlamp guards?

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to wait for a sunny day...if we ever get one! Also need to look for some screws to secure it into the wing as they didn't arrive with any.

Any tips for fitting front headlamp guards?

I don't have any hole so on the plastic bumper, I've got to drill them!

Any tips for fitting front headlamp guards?

I bought a set of Freelander headlamp guards for £30 incl delivery. Before I fit them does anyone have any tips on how I should do it? I don't want to mess up drilling the wings!! Is there a template available to download anywhere?

What have you done to your Freelander today

RonBox Synergy 2A arrived today. Fitted it this afternoon. Had a quick spin up the road & car feels way more responsive even on setting 3. Have only got 2wd at the moment so not going to risk shreddin my tyres yet! Secured it beside the ECU compartment where I can still get to the control...

    Induction kit

My td4 revs more easily now I have a K&N filter. The EGR blanking kit is keeping that rush of air free from exhaust gas. Synergy box is dispatched so will soon find out what that's like.

What have you done to your Freelander today

I'm amazed at what can fit in the locking boot compartment! The winch has been as in a box in my garage so decided to find a way to carry it with me.

    Custom Roof Rack

If its a safari roof rack with the raised section all the way round, could the top ring mount on top of the existing 3dr roof rails & the bottom sit on rubber mounts on the roof? Just thinking of ways to keep it as low as possible so it looks better. Or the new roof rack could all weld to a...

    Custom Roof Rack

I guess the other option is to make a safari roof rack that sits between the original roof rails, that way it still sits low on the roof but easier to fit. Could still secure to the front mounts above the front window

    Custom Roof Rack

I could live with that! "If" I ever took the roof off the rack would just have to come off too. It's not like I'd ever remove it anywhere other than home otherwise I'd have to FedEx it home!!!

    Custom Roof Rack

Yep, I never do!! Although I did think if getting a soft top to fold up on the odd sunny day!
