removing front axle so could do with a step by step guide if there is one, doin it on drive also so any tips would be much appreciated!!! what a day by the way!!!! bout bloody time!!!!

ive just got a set of front and rear 2001 axles from salvage and want to fit em on my k reg 90, on pick ing them up last night i noticed the fitting for the prop was difrent to what i have already, can i change that fitting?? or will they just fit in?? im unable to work on it till sun and dont...

ive found some td5 axles to replace my existing ones on a k reg, i only really need the front one but have been told the td5 axles are a lot tougher and this would be a very good upgrade, is this true or are they the same and do they fit straight on with no extras needed

give up tryin to get that shaft out its stuck in good. have found a discovery axle reasonably price same year as mine, will this fit straight on???

ive rang a mechanic whos got one but has said that it might not fit on the shaft as there is no thread on the end of the shaft!! fookin nightmare, thanks for your help tho, much appriciated!!:D

i need a exploded diagram of the front hub assembly with all part numbers, like you get at land rover dealers if ant ones got it????

no front, ive got everything i can off back to the axle casing and it wont budge!! i havent got access to a welder so should i take off the diff casing and av a look???

nice one nige, didnt wanna av to take the diff apart, i take it a new shaft will just tap back in??

ive recently tried to remove my drivers side half shaft coz the splines are smashed and twisted, ive stripped off all the casingsto the hub but still carnt pull the shaft out?? should i just give it an almighty yank or is there something holding the shaft in on the diff????

one more thing should i replace anything new when reassembleing????

na no speakers mate, i can get me hand round about 75mm of the shaft but its that bloody oily i carnt get a good yank on it, now i know that its deffo broke ill get some grips on it and just rip in to it!! once again buster youve saved me a lot of ball ache. ill let u know how i get on putting...

do both shafts come with the cv joint attached to them then??? im still unsure if its broke or its sposed to be in two pieces??? i dont have a magnet either.

i smashed my front diff the other day and had some horrible clunking noises coming from it. so, ive stripped down to try get my half shafts out to asses the situation and the result is that ive got the passengers side shaft out, the longer of the two, complete with cv joint attached no problem...

i think ill buy meself the right tool, dont like the sound of the uvva way. thanks guys

ive done as u say and ive pulled the ****er with all me might, and it aint budgin?? hun73r's ere with me and he said his back axle was easy to remove, this was also a drum brake set up, would it be diffrent on a front disk brake axle??? oh and thanks for the help so far!!!!
