How long roughly would it take a garage

It's a 4.6 hse v8 gems p38 range. I'm based in nottingham 2 miles from city centre

anybody give me a rough price on how much to replace my cylinder heads, do both have to be changed or can just one be changed, ive isolated it to a burnt valve on cylinder 4, i have the gaskets valves and bolts, just need somebody willing to do the job, i can drive it to you no problem,

Well it seems to have cure it, another journey completed without a hick, and it ran on lpg too.

:bolt: It was a second hand one, however if it hold up until payday on friday i will be purchasing a new one just for peace of mind, (left 2 of the awkward bolts out anyway to make it easier)

replaced the coil pack and it seems fine now, popped and banged at first but soon cleared after a rev or two. im guessing that plug may have been fouled but is now clean? it wont run on lgp now but i think that might just need resetting fingers crossed its cured.

It's a gems with multi point Just picked up a coil pack so I'll try tht today and let you know

update: ive replaced the leads, still no fix it ran absoloutely fine today for 45 minutes then the dreaded misfire came back, it must be something electrical then? i unplugged the MAF and it slowly died, then when i plugged it back in there was no change,

hi guys, just picked up a p38 4.6 with petrol and LPG, ran fine first two days on petrol no problems, filled it up on lpg and ran fine for a day no problems. it has now started to misfire on one cylinder, i dont want to throw money at it replacing the plugs leeds coil maf sensor etc if its...

ive got a 4.6 p38 with a bad engine.. im getting local scrapyard to come and pick it up but im going to strip the valuavles first so far ive took off becm key and ignition barrel battery cats wheels. anything else worth removing? the leathers had it.

i just ran the compressor with my leasure battery, blocked the output to the tank with finger to simulate load on tank, and it came straight out exhaust, now the offside rear airbag is the closest solenoid to this, could it be back feeding through the diaphram amd leaking out slowly bringing it...

its ok, the pipes not broke, i took it out the airbag and ran a pipe straight to the valve block outside the car and thru the bonnet, just to test, my problem lies with the diaphragm i believe check my other recent post.

drivers side rear airbag, anyone know where the pipe runs that feeds it? i have a leak in the pipe somewhere and need to replace it

well tried them all at different levels, it will pump them up to access mode, then when you get out turn car off etc the valves click and it levels to bottom. if i pump it up in the morning its fine until i turn the car off then it drops..
