Lost a rear mud flap on my Disco1 somewhere yesterday evening. The whole assembly was rotten an just fell off. Hope it didn't cause a problem for somebody running in to it during the night. Lump of muddy/rusty metal with a mud flap attached.... :crazy_driver: Ouch. Ah well, more work to do when...

Replace my starter motor on the V8. Pig of a job outside between the rain bursts. Just need to find a new screw for the heat shield as it blew away in to the field next door after I used it hold a piece of paper down. Lost the paper as well :scratching_chin: At least it start now. Need to fit...

Waited in all day for my new starter motor. It should have arrived yesterday!:mad:

Finally got 6 months tax for the V8. Went to start the beast, no go, starter motor screwed. :( Ordered new, have to wait for delivery now....

Oh yeah, forgot about the car crash calls, usually on a very bad line from the Indian subcontinent. Don't get to many of them anymore though, as I usually tell them to **** off.

I'm just really pee'd off with the constant cold calls. I only had my new landline number half a day and they started!!!! Current count is approx 6 a day. Even though you can press 9 to 'opt out'.Tried going through my provider to block the calls but the bastards keep changing the number...

Thanks for the clarification. Still have to shop around carefully though. I just don't know how the insurance companies can justify a 50% increase in the premium though. Had no accidents or points and I'm well over 25. Maybe I'm getting too old? I'll be 60 this year. :confused:

After doing the EGR I finally got round to putting a new down pipe (no cat) on the Tdi, plus a middle box, plus the tail pipe. The whole system was rotten and about to fall off anyway. Engine runs a lot better now, and less smoke out the back as well. I think the cat was almost completely full...

Don't know yet, just ordered it from my local bloke. Probably expensive though as I've ordered all the clamps (needed :mad:) and rubbers (needed :mad:) to go with the pipes and boxes.
