    no, no snorkel yet ! ;) standard air box, completely removed, cleaned and replaced, even ran the nanocom test without the air filter as sierrafery suggested to see if I got a better MAF reading, no change.

    hi Jason, even after the huge list of parts on off in out, she still starts on the button first time every time, it just won't rev above 1500 and black smoke everywhere, the MAF readings are way out of whack and there doesn't seem to be any boost ?

    found the receipt in the man style filing cabinet pile of junk in the kitchen so i'll ring them tomorrow. might get a new modulator too, then i'll be sure of everything from the turbo to the inlet manifold except for the APP and MAP sensors. needless to say, i'm not happy :mad:

    I took the inlet pipe off the turbo, turned on and it span freely at tick over. refitted the turbo modulator, checking all the vacuum hoses were intact. took the steel pipe to the intercooler off as I find it easier to fit the vacuum hose to the turbo modulator (fat hands and sausage fingers)...

    the EGR valve is removed, I don't understand why the MAF is only reading 40 odd, there is no air filter at the mo. the turbo is quiet but I want to pull the intake hose just to make sure its turning, check it yesterday wile fitting the silicone hoses, there was a little oil in the exit pipe...

    I ran it without the two hoses and it looked like the rotor wasn't turning, then all of a sudden it did, it looked like there was smoke coming out where the bottom hose was. from what I saw, I presumed it was dead but i'm not familiar with them.
