On occasions, my car leaks diesel, coolant, oil (of at least 3 differing types) and ace fluid. Some of this stuff attacks tarmac! I presume I'm not alone - What do you do to protect your drive?

I might go buy the greygate polish - but I just used "Oral-B Pro-Expert (Sensitive + Gentle whitening)" toothpaste and it worked a treat. I dabbed small amounts all over the light - probably about a teaspoon in total. Then dampened (quite wet but not dripping loads) a loose wad of blue-roll...

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty sure the discolouration/grime/scratches are on the inside. I'll see if I can source the raf Polish falling that I'll try brasso or maybe windolene. But...... Can anyone tell me about dismantling the headlight to get to the lens?

My Left headlight 'lens' is way duller than the one on the right - which looks sparkly new in comparison. The problem seems to be grime/micro scratches on the inside (!!) Before I start to strip it all down polish and up the left hand one are there any gotchas/tips on how to get it apart...

I like the idea - and - I think the wiring is intact (I can make good anyway) But...You can't plug anything USBy into an HC head can you? If I went the original HC way - are there any gotchas on the model?

Nope - if I floor her she admires the open road in front of, ignores the beeping cars behind her and takes her own good time getting up to speed.

Dropping into top sounds like it should be in some sort of gear - it feels more like she's dropping out of gears altogether. Is keeping her in 3rd a simple test for this or a long term solution? I've been told by loads of people that the autos are great - surely they don't like...

Whilst I was steaming up the hill I did not see the smoke :) When I stopped at the top to change drivers the plumes of smoke became visible. So I nipped out and opened the bonnet to see the source(s) Though for future test drives perhaps I should install cameras :)

Oh.... From my research I thought I should be looking for one that had "Timken" stamped into the bearing - (I thought Britpart did) - te cheaper ones don't have this. Or is this only if I plan to properly use my D2? :)
