Hoping to pick a pump up on Monday. I take it the pulley is just swapped over onto the new pump with the 3 bolts?

Just done a quick search and it would appear that's right! They look reasonably cheap though! I've changed one on a 200tdi, not sure what they're like on a 300 though. Is it going to be a horrible job in this weather?

Just put a new belt on to get us home and it seemed okay. Until we gave it a rev once it was on the drive and it make a nasty noise and then chucked a load of power steering fluid out of somewhere! :s What's the best bet? Can you replace the pulley and bearing in situ?

Just freed it by using a bar and a hammer but it doesnt want to spin anticlockwise

Dads 300tdi just snapped a serpentine belt. Got a replacement but the smooth pulley below the tensioner is seized. How do we remedy this?

I just got fed up of fixing one problem just to be met with another one a few days later. The drive wasn't brilliant, steering and brakes barely there... I guess I shouldn't have bought a landrover! :D I'd LOVE a 110 crewcab... Out of my price range though... Keep up the good work and give...

I done the same thing and just changed the ignition barrel. 2 shear bolts to remove it and just swap the wires into the new one... Easy-ish!

So if it doesn't spin when either in gear or in diff lock, it's likely to be fooked diff, half shafts and handbrake at worst?

The handbrake was working before though. Would diff going break the handbrake or does it sound like transfer box?

Hmmm seems confusing! Sorry for all the questions, just trying to work out if it's worth it... So you reckon the diff could be okay, or maybe that's ####ed and bent the half shafts?

He said handbrake was on, it was in high range neutral...

I was too busy to go take a look tonight but was planning on going tomorrow evening. He's just messaged me saying it's worse than he thought, it doesn't drive at all and he can spin the prop freely by hand...is this a ####ed transfer box?
