Ahah oops I was drawing from memory, you're right, the hinges should be on the other side. Its the front door. I'd measure my self but both doors are the same with the bottom rails and part of the verticals rusted away so I have not base line to measure to if that makes sense. Thank you

Not that sure, there seems to be the relevant wire (thick red and brown) that is in the clump of wires that lead to the ignition however the tdi ignition terminals do not seem to accommodate large red/brown spade connection.
