Really silly question but the manual and threads just say to position the arm on the pump correctly on the cam
Does the arm go under or over the cam:confused:
Hi Jonathan
Got mine from Paddocks-Front flexi and middle and back pipes ( complete system ) as the back pipe was shot and fitted myself single handed :D
I have read that you can use a pipe without flexi but I found it easier to fit with it due to its flexibility
Manifold studs were a bugger to...
Hi all
I decatted a while ago and used a flexi front pipe
I removed the rubber hanger that connected near to the cat as I thought it wasnt needed but have read somewhere that it is needed for the flexi
The new front pipe didnt have an attachment for the hanger anyway
Should I fit it...
Almost forgot-As in other threads about MPG dont forget the magnet on the fuel line and the metal ball thingies n the tank-As Tesco say Every little helps:blabla:
Hey Dave
Buy veggie oil in bulk-put it in G/box,diffs ,swivels, tbox and power steering +fill tank with it.Change at 200000 mile intervals and pour the old stuff in the tank as well.
Tree huggers will love you :D:D
Ah now I see
Thought you were refering to a previous poster :D
As it needs to be applied with a syringe I can see the scenario now-Its a white Land Rover windscreen sealer honest officer
Another quickey Discool-I noticed with the new calliper thet there is a fair amount of side to side play on the pads.I assume thats because the pistons are right in and that will be sorted when the pedal is pressed when the fluid is done:D
I have drained the whole system and have never bled...
I beg to differ (unless someone knows better )
As the discs heat up the vented one will brake better and cause an unbalance:eek:
When it comes to brakes why take chances:mad:
Fit two new vented discs and new pads and no worries:D
Cheers Discool
As ever you have an answer
Yep the pins and ant irattle springs slid in no problem
I was just worried that as the pads wear and their tops are above the discs that the pads would meet and NO BRAKES
Hi Papa
If I could pick your brain :D
I have a 300tdi and the steps look the same but mine are much rustier
Are the steps held on with 8 little bolts only
If I can get em off I might see about refurbing them:rolleyes:
Cheers
Paul
Morning all
I have fitted new pads to above and noticed the pads are a little taller than the discs:eek:
Have fitted new front brake callipers now and the pads look thesame:doh:Will be changing rear discs and callipers at the week end:D
Does this sound normal:rolleyes:
