    Discovery rumbling along

Yes jacked up each wheel in turn, no play even with the aid of a bar. Think all calipers are ok, as just replaced the 2 front ones (and disks) and the backs were replaced last year. Don't think I can reset the wheel bearings as I thought the TD5's had sealed hubs.(sorry should have said it...

    Discovery rumbling along

Thanks for the reply. No all the weight are still on. I did change the long steering arm a few months ago, it still goes straight at any speed. But I dont think the tracking could cause this noise.

    Discovery rumbling along

My discovery sounds like there is a wheel bearing away, as when I go above 45mph there is a rumbling coming from somewhere. I have checked all the wheels and there is no movement in any of them. Is there another way to check the bearings or could it be something else?

    TD5 Steering pump leaking

My power steering pump is dripping. Has anyone seen this before, is the pump burst or could it be the pipe?

    Buying and Discovery TDi300

I already have a Disco2 TD5 which my wife uses every day, but have been offered a Disco 1998 TDi300 for very little money (£400) which I intend to use off road. What should I be looking out for, in the chassis/engine department as possible problems ? Thanks James

    Overheating brake/hub

Last week my discovery TD5 (2000) rear passenger side almost went on fire, lost of smoke etc. I assumed the brakes were sticking on so cleaned up the caliper and replaced the brake pads and disks (both sides). But it was still getting very hot. After more investigation I found the bearing...
