why i wonder , not according to mine, but you do tend to find discs in much worse condition on the side mud shield coversAccording to my local mot tester no disc mudshields is a fail!!
usually rear discs getting more problems from lack of hard use with most of braking effort on the front ,in that pads wear through corrosion on discs , wear rate also depends on quality of pads ,discs and caliper pistonsthanks for the help but a bit confused?????where did i park me fourtrak up)lol is it better to remove the mud shields ?? and just looked at my service history the main dealer fitted rear discs at 28,000 and it has now done 49,000 do they go through the rear discs like this???? and if they do could i fit better ones maybee?? ......
I agree thats why I took mine off when I fitted new discs but the mot guy told me to put em back or no ticket!! he read to me from the mot stuff and it says something like badly rusted or missing is a failwhy i wonder , not according to mine, but you do tend to find discs in much worse condition on the side mud shield covers
must be how you read the book i suppose .ive allways done it , but just spoke to my mot man hes says it doesnt matter, just in case rules have changed ,or maybe mines a good guy
