It's not losing drive. When the messages come up it drives fine, when no messages, suspension goes up and down, hdc works, but car brakes feel like they're locked on. Front diff has been done.
Diesel. Phoned local 4x4 land rover specialist, it's going there soon. He thinks it's either abs or front drive shaft. Could be traction control. Apparently the coupling goes. I'm hoping it is, as it's covered under warranty.
Ok, something new to think about. This morning when driving away in car, no messages came up, but car would hardly move, felt as if abs was coming was coming on and braking the car. I worked handbrake up and down and it seemed to help. So thinking it is a sensor?
That's what I'm hoping it is. Looked under car and the height sensor connection is certainly very exposed. Just seems a bit of a coincidence it happened after washing that area
It seem to have started after I blasted under arches with power washer, then I gave it a good blast along road around 80 mph, that's when messages came up, so I'm thinking a speed sensor or height sensor
I'm having same problems. Only happened after I washed underneath front arches with power washer, I gave the car a good blast along road, around 80mph and that's when messages came on, so I'm thinking height, abs sensor?
Got battery checked and the alternator. Battery showing 14.4v@2k rpm, 13.9 @ idle. Alternator is fine. Twice today it didn't come on for a mile or so, then on as soon as ignition on.
All these lights came on today. New gearbox fitted a few weeks ago, car running so good now, then today, these messages came up. Suspension won't move. Car drives fine. Gears all working perfect.
Everything else is fine. Just doesn't start sometimes, next day it's ok. So it's probably the electrical part. I've ordered a new part for the switch that has the contacts.
My ignition switch is playing up. Some days it works fine, next time you need to work it a few times to work. Once car starts all is ok. Then it can stop working a couple times, then fine again. How do I replace it and pair it to the car if I get a second hand one with new keys?
Recently done the 2003-2006 conversion. Everything works perfectly apart from one strange thing. When I start car and put on headlights, all is fine. If I start car without the lights going on, I get that check dip beam message. Same with just side lights, message comes on. Any ideas why I get...
I'm not paying for it. Anyway its arrived at garage, going to do a diagnostic check today and let me know later. Over the phone he said, with experience of these gearboxes, he said it's likely to be gearbox, but he'll know for sure today.
