Tecnic Tracker mud tyres are pretty awesome, they will go through anything and are pretty cheap too, as you can get the remoulds jus cant remember the size but they were pretty big.

It worked, because the lad wanted to take her for a test drive, and when I told him that and reminded him that he would need third party insurance, he asked if I could take him for a spin it instead. Ended up going on a half hour test drive, to prove how good she was. It still makes me laugh...

That inspires confidence, jus goes to show how ppl on e-bay can be ripped off if they do not have their witts about them. The Landy was in good nick but still had the usual faults, mainly doors, and rear cross member, which were nver mentioned in the original ad. Think its a classic dodgy...

When I bought her I didnt know that an LPG certificate was important but when I came to getting insurance a fair few companies asked for it. In the end I went with firebond who didnt ask for it. If I get another LPG landy I will make sure it comes with one.

It had a spare head (I think that is what it is called, just the silver alloy top section of the engine). I like the 81,000 genuine miles, even though it came with nothing to back the mileage up other than an old MOT. Problem being the tripometer thingy had stopped working and had been stuck on...

I was thinking about it, but a friend seen it getting hammered around an off road site by mine. Said he thought it had been stolen the way it was being driven, so going to give it a wide berth. The only problem with it is, it never came with an LPG certificate.

There wasnt much wrong with it other than a leaking water pump. If I was going to keep it I would of done a little welding on the chassis and bulkhead and waxoyled the chassis.

Jus been on e-bay and my lovely landy that i sold a couple of weeks ago is back on e-bay. I was half tempted to buy her back but not for that price. Why do people advertise landys covered in mud. I look at the pics and she looks like she has been hammered. I cant see him getting that price...

Well the trail for a replacement landy continues as my mate has decided to strip the range for its parts. He reckons he can get around £1k for the engine and around the same for the ZF gear box and Ian Ashcroft goodies including diffs, and transfer box. What he didnt tell me originally was...

He's a squadie, and lives in Birmingham now, still waiting on pics of the rangey as I have never seen it, and havent had a chance to take a look at her. I think the reason he spent so much on the gear box, and stuff is because of the power. I dont think it is the turbo model.

Its got to be one of the worst Landys I have ever seen, unless its for commerical use. We should have a competition for the most tacky landy posted on here. Possibly with a point scoring system for man hours put in, and cost.

Thanks guys, as expected it was a very easy fit. I paid £75 for a new alternator from my local land rover supermarket which I thought wasnt too bad.

Im selling my 110 as I jus dont get the time to use it, but quite fancy the idea of an old cheapish disco that I can use more often. I would only use it once or twice a week as a second car, but as I do very miles these days im considering selling my bmer and using it as my every day transport...
