Legally, front fogs should not come on when on main beam - only on dipped. Driving/spots with main beam is good but when you dip it should switch on your fogs - when you go to high beam it should be spots but no fogs. Fogs also have to have a "tell tale" light on the switch for MOT. Lots of...

price wise there definitely seems to be a huge range out there. I did actually once buy a used set off ebay..... only been used to drive a vitara to an mot, which it failed dismally and then on to the scrap yard. You could see they'd done no more than about 20 miles :)
