    What not to dinitrol?

Is it similar to Waxoyl? think with that avoid any rubber bits / boots etc as it has white spirit base / thinners used which apparently can shorten the life of some rubbers.

    0-60 - What's yours?

I need an accurate calendar for my N/A 110, have seen 60 on the clock couple of times but dont think I will thrash the old thing, it may be slow but its errrr graceful :)

problem bleeding brakes after a fitting lwb axle

Silly question, but are the shoes adjusted up correctly? if they arent then it takes a lot more fluid to push them up against the drums. New shoes and properly adjusted shoes made a big difference on my 110

After searching the net, couldnt find any off the shelf locks for my jerry cans. Most cages have a way to lock the cans but as I custom made my fixtures I decided to use some stainless steel hinges I had kicking about and some aluminium plate. Just had to drill a couple of holes through the...

    clunk at the rear

Had same, there was slight play on rear UJ, so replaced all of them, BUT the big clonk when pulling away was the A frame ball joint. Theres always a tad play on the diff set up. Under load the A frame is hard to check but give it a good inspection, mine passed MOT with tired boot but when I...

    oil consumption

Fine job!, thing is once its done you know for sure its done right! these motors are great, not fast by a long way, but they are fit for purpose and easy to fix, so reckon it will be time well spent :)

Thanks Flat! lots of tweaks here and there but the Landy is a hobby as well as main transport, and its loads cheaper than the boat I had! :D

Nearly ready now. As stated all fully serviced, roof boards fitted back onto the rack, just awaiting tent completion. Note on full view pic the little bracket above the front number plate, there is a rubber pad next to and thats where I bolt on the farm jack, keeps it securely in place with...

    Long journeys

Thats the way! only takes a bit of time and get into a routine even if its just the main usual checks + a simple look over, it all helps and you get to know your vehicle and any up and coming weaknesses :)

    Long journeys

Nice :) Just keep up on the preventative work and checks and theres no reason our Landys cant do massive trouble free trips, hey they are used world wide for that reason! :)

    Tyres - AT or MUD

Just fitted Event AT on the 110, seem grippy and should be hard wearing, proof will be when we do our big off road trip next month. All depends on what you mainly use it for. some on here have two sets of tyres and thats not a cheap option to set up but you then get the exact tyre for the day...

    New tyres feel funny

Pressures and speed may well be the issue here, they are not designed for speed, and they are sup[posed to be 80% off road

Good day today, engine oil, transfer box, gearbox and both axles all had fluid changed. New air, oil and fuel filters done ready for the trip. Mrs smiley did a brief tent fitting over the rear frame and starting to look really good, so pics will follow once its finished. Only downside was that I...

    Wheel bearing changing, pairs??

Just did both front hubs together, even though only one side had apparent wear and that could be just regreased and tightened, but was an arse to strip so just did it all. If ones knacked the other cant be far behind?

    what I did do today

Nice, glad you had a fab one, those sort of days just make things good :) its been p*** down all day in Weymouth

    no mot woohoo

Totally agree, even with exemption you would need to still be rigid on your inspection and maintenance, and MOT inspection is at least checking what most of us cant very well without the lift and rolling road.
