Hi all, Just purchased a TD5 "Disco" on a 99 plate. Absolutely love it but have a slight problem with the rear door locks. Passenger side and Offside rear door and tail gate locks lock on central locking remote but they will not open on remote central locking button...Any help on this matter...

Hi all, Just an update on my SAD Freelander. Changed all the plugs and coil packs at the cost of £80 and it turns out that its the Cat that's gone:doh::doh::doh::doh: Gonna de-cat it tomorrow and hopefully that will be the end of it..:blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla:

Got the same problem on my 1.8ltr Freelander. Been on since we aquired the car in March this year but the car was running fine till this week when the Cat failed. Doh!!! Could be that you need to reset the ECU after the service, as lack of servicing can make the engine management light flash...

Check the clutch fixing plate on the side of the gearbox.(Holds the clutch slave/master cylinder in place). They are renowned for stress cracking throwing everything out of alignment.:)

Engine management light has been on since we bought the car in March this year. It ran fine right up till now. We put it down to a poor service plan...Has not had a service for a long time.:confused:

I,ve just bought two new coil packs and am waiting for the second one to arrive tomorrow. They only had one on the shelf. I do hope this cures the problem as they were £70. Thanks for all the helpfull replies. Top forum.:D:D:D
