Side exhausts are a bit daft really, fumes creepin up an in ya window, more suited to a big American pork sword car than a landy. i bought this motor in this state,check out the stickers...... DONT DO IT!

If ya have ya chassis supported and lower the axle to pull yer shocker fully open it should hold tight enough to nip it up.

You could probably buy a decent second hand mig welder for less than a garage would charge to do the job, then teach yer sen to weld,its not too hard and wire and gas is cheap too. I have never had the need to weld up til buying an early 90 and ive mastered it now an mi 90s a propper little...

mine sits on the white marker that meets the red section but the water temp is fine. the senders are different. mine was originaly a n/a d. I think steve parkers would put you right.
