You are 100% correct - this is the OE fit for the 1.8 Freelander.

From memory.... There is two velcro parts attached to plastic, The metal frame has machined cups that the bent rods fit into Two zipped sections - green and red And the cover itself I can't think of the part you mention - if you can get a pic I might be able to help.... Regards, Steve

Post 2000 MY had a different brake disc and pad setup. Also the rear hubs were modified. Any wheel from a post 2000 MY will be ok on your vehice. 16" wheels are sooooooo much cheaper than 17's. Regards, Steve
